Premier Security Ltd
From 25 May 2018, new data protection laws are being introduced in the UK, called GDPR. The General Data Protection Regulation aims to give you greater control over your personal information and to better protect your data in the modern world. We’d like to take the opportunity to let you know more about how we use and protect your data.
Who Are You
Because we provide security services to “end users” we may collect data from the above. For the purposes of clarification an “end user” is the receiver of the security service or services we provide, i.e. the premises where the security system is installed.
What information we collect
Why we collect it
To ensure we provide you with the best possible security service. It helps us to identify you and to provide security services for your property. It helps us ensure we keep the security services we provide
at the highest level.
What we use it for
Who we share it with
We will not share your personal information with any third party, unless it is for the purposes of
providing the security services we have previously agreed with you.
Gaining access to data we hold.
You have the right to request access to the personal data we have on record about you. Subject access requests will be handled and processed within regulatory timescales.
How long we will keep your data
We will only retain your personal information and data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected for, as required by our industry standards, British Standards and our legal obligations.
CCTV and Alarm Data
We collect CCTV and alarm data in the process of providing security services for you.
We retain data and images we have collected for the minimum period of time as required by our regulatory body, external authorities and our legal requirements. We ensure we keep all data secure, with limited access to authorised individuals only. We only retain images and data long enough to allow for any incident to come to light and to investigate it. We have established processes and procedures where a request for information regarding data and CCTV images are made. We will retain data and images only for as long as the duration of the contract and will ensure removal and confidential deletion as appropriate following its expiry.
We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal information from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed. In addition, we limit access to your personal information to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know. Should a breach of data be identified, the company will report the breach to the relevant persons or company and inform them of actions taken to resolve the breach.
